Harris & James and Whitby Distillery have worked together to create something truly special - a chocolate collection that captures the spirit of the North Yorkshire coast in every bar. Smugglers Reserve pays tribute to Whitby's hidden past, when contraband moved through the cliffside caves by moonlight: warming, golden and just a little dangerous.
We've taken our smooth 40% milk chocolate - crafted bean to bar in our Suffolk chocolate factory from 100% traceable, ethically sourced cacao - and cut it through with rich caramel pieces and a pinch of sea salt. Distillers know spirit; chocolate makers know cacao. Put the two together and you get salted caramel chocolate with real depth: creamy, indulgent and perfectly balanced between sweet and savoury - made for pairing with a golden rum, an afternoon brew, or hiding from the rest of the household.
